🕰️What is rest...
...I hear you cry!
It's something I've been discovering for myself over the past 3 Winters! Over the past 14 years I've spent a lot of my waking hours outdoors through my work in environmental education. This blessing comes with its limitations. During this time of working tirelessly outside in beautiful landscapes with wonderful humans, I've experienced not one but THREE burnouts. These have all come at the end of a busy season of non-stop 'hustling' - for want of a better word - because the nature of working in nature, is that things go quiet in Winter (as they should).
Since my last (pretty catastrophic) burnout in Autumn 2021 I realised that something needed to shift so that I could move out of this busy/burnout cycle. This is what happened:
I adjusted my routine. I realised that operating at the same pace that I do in the Summer doesn't work in the Winter.
I put aside time in my calendar to look after myself - incorporating the rituals in this course.
I learnt that spending too much time 'resting' in bed didn't work for me so I made sure I got outside every day.
Since then I've learnt so much more about what rest can look like for each of us and I wanted to create this course for you to find out how you can integrate rest into your life through daily, weekly and monthly rituals as we approach the Winter Solstice.
